The unlikely birth of a third set of twins pleasantly surprised the father of the family.
Almost a decade ago, in a Scottish family, in Glasgow, an incredible event occurred. A couple gave birth to a pair of twins for the third time.
Such a case could have a 1 in 500,000 chance.
Spouses Colin and Karen Roger, 41 and 44, already had two fathers of identical twins, 12-year-old Finn and Jude and 14-year-old Lewis and Kyle.
But, Roger thought his family was not complete and decided that it needed to be completed with another child.
After an ultrasound on the 42nd day of pregnancy, the woman discovered that she was expecting twins again.
She sent a message about the addition to her husband.
Hearing this news, the husband assumed that his wife was joking and replied that it was quite ridiculous.
And Colin had to explain to her that she wasn’t kidding at all.
This time, the woman would give birth to little girls.
Rowan and Isla were born by cesarean section. They were not monozygotic, that is to say identical, twins.
Now the couple had three fathers of twins and the four older brothers were very happy that they now had cute, adorable sisters.
