There are many orphans in China. The main reasons for this are the “one-child policy” and poverty.
There are many boys in the orphanages.
When Dawson and Hannah were just a few months old, they were left at an orphanage. Though they were not siblings, they were very attached to each other.
With time, their bond only grew stronger. In the photo, they were always together, smiling and holding hands.
When Hannah was informed that she had been adopted by an American family, she was deeply troubled by the fact that she would never see Dawson again.
Unfortunately, Dawson remained in China while Hannah left for the United States. Sharon and Andy Sykes became Hannah’s new parents.
They had two other children who happily became her older siblings, but they all saw how much she missed Dawson.
From the orphanage, the couple received a photo where Hannah was constantly next to the boy.
The parents noticed that they were constantly holding hands and realized that the children were very close.
So the family decided to help Hannah’s friend. Hannah’s new mother felt responsible for the fate of this boy.
She shared the story on social media. Even though Hannah now lived in Texas, half of her heart remained in China.
Amy Clary discovered the strong friendship between Hannah and Dawson. She talked to her husband about it, and they decided to adopt him.
The Clary family already had three children under the age of five.
Although they knew it would be challenging with four young children, they didn’t give up on the idea of becoming Dawson’s parents.
Of course, it took a lot of time to work out all the details, but everything worked out. They really wanted Dawson and Hannah to be together again.
The children didn’t even suspect that they would become neighbors and live five minutes away from each other.
They were incredibly happy! After three-year-old Dawson got off the plane, he met his family.
And at that moment, he noticed his beloved friend running towards him! Hannah met him at the airport.
They rushed towards each other, laughing and hugging. The adults couldn’t hold back their tears. How much they had missed each other!
The friendship between Hannah and Dawson brought the Clary and Sykes families closer. Now their families have become much bigger!
