Claude Sarraute disappeared from small screens in 2013. The famous intellectual journalist shone with her talent for decades and was much loved by the public.
Recently, the media reported that the brilliant columnist has health problems. She hardly sees, hears or walks. But that does not prevent him from having fun in the show Big Heads broadcast on RTL.
Many French people know that Madame Claude is the daughter of the French novelist, lawyer and woman of letters Nathalie Sarraute who was also one of the main members of the famous literary current called Nouveau Roman.
According to the journalist, his mother of Russian origin gave him this first name Claude, since she wanted to have a son.
After obtaining her baccalaureate in Paris, Claude Sarraute chose the acting career and for three years, until 1952, she was a theater actor.
But in 1953, she changed her career and started working as a journalist at Le Monde.
As she was an actress, at the beginning, she was entrusted with the section of the Program of Theaters and Cinemas of the newspaper.
In the pages of Le Monde, the journalist often confided her childhood memories and her relationship with her parents.
“My mother taught me that you have to work hard and you shouldn’t be flirtatious or a liar,” said Sarraute.
In addition to her collaboration with the newspaper Le Monde, the woman participated in the program Les Grosses Têtes.
Aged 95, in 2022, she was invited by Laurent Ruquier to have fun with Les Grosses Têtes.
“I have health issues related to my vision and hearing, I can’t walk, but in my head everything is fine”, explained the living legend.
