Medical professionals in Morocco were extremely surprised by the case of 25-year-old Halima Cisse. What a pregnancy! A young woman and her husband were awaiting the birth of their first child, so imagine their surprise when an ultrasound revealed numerous pregnancies!
It is unusual for two or more children to be born naturally. This occurs more commonly as a result of IVF. Because Halima had nine children in a completely natural way, her case can be characterized as unique.
Although doctors closely watched the babies’ growth and development, Halima’s natural childbirth may have put her life and the lives of her numerous babies in danger.
Thus, Halima was scheduled for a cesarean section once each of the nines weighed more than 500 g. All of the twins survived despite having to be nursed for a very long time in a clinic.
Five girls and four boys have now been born to Halima and her husband, who are delighted parents.
Although they freely admit that they had not yet planned to have so many children, they found great joy in the surprise. In one particular instance, a woman was carrying her first kid and gave birth to nine children all at once.
