Onatan Bauer is an American citizen who was walking along Assawoman Bay Bridge with his 13-year-old daughter.
Suddenly, the unexpected happened.
The child sitting in the seat jumped out of the car and fell into the water.
They witnessed a five-car accident. The car was thrown against the roadside barrier and remained on the water.
So the brave Onatan could not remain indifferent and reacted as quickly as possible.
As he later recounted, the girl was sitting on her back and struggling, her body covered in water.
Fortunately, her head was above the water, and she was able to hold on and not drown.
The man wanted to find a boat, but there were none in the vicinity.
As a result, Onatan jumped from the bridge, which was seven meters high, and started swimming towards the child.
A courageous man jumped from a height of seven meters from a bridge to save a girl’s life.
“Her mouth was open, eyes half-closed. I held the baby on my shoulder and tapped her back firmly.
After a few seconds, water came out of her mouth, then she started coughing, and then she took a deep breath,” Onatan said.
The man handed the little girl to two rescuers. The young girl was taken to Baltimore Medical Center.
Fortunately, she was released after two days and is now safe and sound with her family.
