The American couple, Les and Helen Brown, are not fairy tale characters at all.
These are real people who lived together for 75 long years and lost their lives within a day of each other.
They were born on the same day, in 1918. They met in high school, and when they were 18, and they just couldn’t imagine their life without each other.
The boy’s parents were not happy with their son’s feelings.
They were adamantly against the marriage, as Les came from a very wealthy family, while Helen’s was neither noble nor wealthy.
Lovers ran away from home and, after a modest wedding ceremony, began to live together.
The years passed and this union became stronger and stronger and their feelings deeper.
In 1963, the couple moved to Long Beach, a city in California. Mr. Brown was a photographer and Mrs. Brown worked in real estate.
Later, their son Daniel said that his parents had not spent a day in their lives without each other. And it really happened.
The couple’s youngest son, Les Brown Junior, said their parents left them in 2016 within a day of each other.
This incredible love story has become very famous. The spouses have proof of an eternal love.
And in the old black and white photographs, they look at us young, beautiful and smiling.
