Finally, Leona and her mother had an opportunity to express their gratitude to the brave stranger who had unexpectedly saved them.
Doreen’s life was drastically altered in 1988 while she and her 3-week-old daughter, Leona, were visiting family in New Durham, New Hampshire.
They had been met in Boston by Doreen’s sister and brother. They were in the back of the vehicle because Leona had a cold. The infant vomited a little and coughed while sitting in the back.
Doreen saw that her 3-week-old daughter Leona’s lips were becoming blue when she cleaned the drip of vomit from her mouth.
The automobile was travelling north on I-95 when she called at her brother to stop.
