Kateri and Jay Schwandt, a couple from the United States who already had 13 children, recently welcomed their 14th child into the world.
Before the birth, the couple decided not to find out the baby’s gender, wanting to keep it as a surprise.
In previous pregnancies, ultrasounds had consistently revealed the arrival of another boy, so the couple embraced the mystery and eagerly awaited the birth, wondering if they would finally have a daughter or another son.
However, fate had its plans and continued to play tricks on them.
With great joy and perhaps not entirely surprising, the Schwandts welcomed their 14th child, another boy.
The baby was born healthy and strong, weighing just over 3700 grams, despite being born a week earlier than expected.
While some may have hoped for a daughter after having so many boys, the couple expressed their happiness and gratitude for the arrival of another son.
Jay Schwandt admitted to having little hope of having a daughter, given their history of having only boys.
However, both parents were simply thrilled to once again have the joy and smiles of a new baby in their home.
Although Kateri stated that she is not disappointed about not having a daughter, some might wonder if deep down she still holds a glimmer of hope for the future.
