Patsy Kerr had been excavating a tunnel every night from his bedroom for fifteen years in a row.
His wife slept so soundly that she didn’t learn about the idea until she tried to follow him as he started to leave at night.
The Omagh plumber’s strength suffered as a result of the diligent labor.
Later, he acknowledged that he had considered giving up numerous times, but it would have been challenging to do so.
Patsy explained to the journalists that “my wife would only fall asleep with sleeping pills and wouldn’t hear anything all night, and I worked and worked.”
The odd task of the plumber was finished after 15 years.
