The host of M6 and RTL programs Julien Courbet has decided to change his way of life.
The 58-year-old presenter wrote on his Twitter account that he is now becoming a flexitarian.
This means reducing certain sources of animal protein such as meat and fish.
Courbet explains that such a custom makes him much better in his body.
He says that he will succeed in this initiative little by little and that already, in this period, he stopped eating red meat, but only a little chicken.
Why this approach? Courbet explains that he wants less animal suffering.
But he immediately adds that it’s a personal initiative, everyone decides to eat what they want and they don’t want to impose their way of life on others.
His initiative in the field of cooking is not something new. A year and a half ago, the presenter declared that he no longer wanted to eat foie gras and a year ago he decided not to eat lamb and declared on the Internet that we could eat meat, but not eat babies.
At that time, the father of two children was criticized by journalists for ordering his way of life.
So he replied that the tweet should be read again, because it was only a personal decision and everyone could swallow what they wanted.
But already, in his broadcasts, Courbé has favored the reduction of meat by noting that each French person eats at least 80 kilograms of meat annually.
“We can stop it like we quit smoking,” explained the host.
He says he’s not a vegetarian yet, but refuses red meat and starts eating cereals he didn’t eat before and regrets not adopting this way of life before.
Is there anyone willing to repeat the reporter’s attempt?
