The 67-year-old New Mexican resident Ra Paulette creates magnificent caverns by hand. He carves vast tunnels and caves into the sandstone each day, which he then embellishes with a variety of designs using a shovel, pickaxe, and cart.
Ra Paulette has accomplished amazing success as a consequence of his tenacity and talent. Once finished, the enormous caves are transformed into lovely areas. He does, however, make a pitiful wage for his labor.
Paulette acknowledged in an interview that he only does it for pleasure. He values each minute spent in his future “museum” far more than any monetary compensation.
Ra Paulette is now working on the fifteenth cave after having already constructed 14. He claims that his most recent cavern will be his greatest achievement.
