The real name of famous singer Damien Sargue is Damien Gras. To create a pseudonym for the stage, the French singer reversed his surname.
The artist was born in 1981 and he appeared on the stage already at the age of 9, when he sang in the television competition called Tomorrow’s Numbers 1.
It was a good way for him to record his first song at the age of ten.
Sargue obtained his popularity as an artist by the musical “Romeo and Juliet, from hate to love”.
The teenager’s parents preferred their son to finish high school and the boy started practicing singing when he had free time.
But at the age of 16, he had to leave high school to sing in the famous musical Notre-Dame de Paris, since the producer of the show was looking for stunt doubles for his show.
He told the magazine Ici Paris that in the musical show, he had to replace Patrick Fiori and also Bruno Pelletier.
Although young, he went to live in Paris to be able to create a musical career.
Sargue has played the characters Gringoire and Phoebus on stage nearly 80 times. Thus, he also managed to earn a living.
And in 2000, at the age of 19, interpreting Romeo, the prince of Montaigu, with a beautiful face and long hair, the artist charmed thousands of spectators and especially spectators.
The musical show Romeo and Juliet brought great fame to Damien Sargue.
His partner on stage, Joy Esther too, could not pass indifferently next to the young beauty with whom she tied a charming love story.
They married in 2009 and divorced in 2011.
