A three-year-old Indian girl who was abandoned and turned down by numerous adoptive couples because she lacked a nose has finally found a new family.
Little Durga’s nose was eaten by insects when she was abandoned as a newborn, so several couples declined to take her in. Eventually, 44-year-old Cincinnati resident Kristen Williams took her in.
With her eight-year-old sister Munni, whom Kristen had adopted from India in 2012, Durga has now started a new life in Ohio.
“I look at my girls and I’m so happy,” Kristen exclaimed. Although I had made the decision to adopt a child, this journey has given me so much more. I adore my daughters dearly. They are my universe, and I am eager to begin our lives together.
