Sal, five, wrapped his little sister in a blanket, anticipating the worst, and made his way to the neighbor’s house to ask for assistance.
Sal and his younger sister were standing on Jessica Penoyer’s doorstep when she arrived home.
Jessica Penoyer is speaking to reporters from ABC15 Arizona News while standing outside. Jessica explains, “He’s standing there holding something, and I thought it was a doll.”
She initially believed Sal was attempting to inform her that “his dog is dead.” But after she realized the terrifying scenario, she dialed 911.
