Sirine Jahangir has been singing, writing, and playing music since she was very young. She lost the vision in one eye at the age of five and now uses her “gift” as an opportunity, not letting it hold her back but overcoming obstacles with great courage.
Not only has her determination helped her through difficult times, but at the age of 14, it led her to the “Britain’s Got Talent” program, where she amazed everyone with her performance.
Sirine is affected by a rare disease that left her completely blind at the age of 10. While her parents and practitioners tried to find treatments for her, the situation is such that there is not much that can be done.
Her parents set out to help her adapt to her new life, and that’s when music became a reality for her, according to her father.
“I remember one day when we were in the car. I didn’t know what to do, so I turned the music up. She started singing in the car, and she was so happy. Then, every time we played music, she found happiness.”
They quickly realized that Sirine had immense talent! When she participated in the “Britain’s Got Talent” show, she made it known to everyone how much her passion meant to her.
“I believe that music is what I’m searching for,” she explained. “It’s what keeps me alive, and music is my universe.”
She then headed towards the piano, where she effortlessly played a melody and sang beautifully, moving the audience to tears!
The four judges voted in favor of Sirine for her to proceed to the next stage of the competition, which didn’t come as a surprise to everyone except Sirine!
After her performance, she said, “I can’t even express that it’s a desire come true because I never envisioned this. I never thought it would be realistic in my life.”
This proves that one can always dream big!
