Juanita Fitzgerald, originally from Eustis, Florida, is a 93-year-old grandmother. She was kicked out of the nursing home where she had lived for eleven years.
The elderly lady spent two days in jail, because the shelter accused the woman in order to stop paying her rent.
“After the two-day arrest by police, authorities released Juanita Fitzgerald, a 93-year-old woman who had refused to pay rent for the hostel where she was staying,” local media reported.
In the photos and in the video, we can very well notice that the muscular arrest damaged the arms of the grandmother where there were visible injuries.
After posting her $500 bond, the elderly woman was released and taken to a motel where she was given a room.
His responsibility was taken by an organization that gives a hand to the homeless. And here the woman spent her 94th birthday.
Upon receiving the report, the police arrested the old woman for not paying back her rent, which was $161.
Members of the organisation’s board of directors said they were taking care of the matter in order to find accommodation as soon as possible to put the elderly lady there.
Juanita Fitzgerald refused to pay for her accommodation because she thought she would soon leave this world.
Already, before being expelled, she also refused to be helped when the administration of the retirement home wanted to contact her with offices for the homeless.
